Old Court Wedding Company Wedding | Natalia and Finbar

Updated: Feb 18, 2023

The shores of Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding of Finbar and Natalia, who tied the knot on a private estate surrounded by natural beauty and historic charm - The Old Court Wedding Company. From the 17th-century church to the restored stables and yurt-inspired marquee, every aspect of their special day was carefully crafted to create a unique and unforgettable experience. It's worth noting that the wedding venue was actually owned by Finbar's family, adding an extra layer of sentiment and personal connection to the already incredible location.

It was great to learn that Natalia, when she contacted us, is a professional wedding planner at the renowned wedding venue, the Carriage Rooms at Montalto Estate, in Northern Ireland. With her experience in the wedding industry, she knew exactly what she wanted for her own day - a relaxed and laid back atmosphere where she could simply enjoy the company of her loved ones and celebrate her marriage to Finbar.

The bride preparations for Natalia was a relaxed and laid back affair, taking place in the boathouse overlooking the tranquil waters of Strangford Lough. As she got ready for her big day, the stunning scenery provided the perfect backdrop. Surrounded by her closest friends and family we had a great time with them and Natalia got some lovely gifts from Finbar and her brother. The boathouse, with its charming rustic decor and calming atmosphere, set the tone for the entire day and provided the perfect start to a truly unforgettable wedding.

Before the wedding ceremony, Finbar and Natalia had a first look at the boathouse where Natalia got ready. It was a tender moment between the couple, surrounded by the serene beauty of Strangford Lough. It's great seeing a bride and groom have this time together before a ceremony, it often alleviates any anxiety and allows for a genuine, private moment between the couple

As Finbar and Natalia exchanged their vows in the beautiful 17th century church, their loved ones looked on you could really feel the happiness for them. When Natalia walked down the aisle (to "Home" by Edward Sharpe - this was so awesome) and they both seen each other to exchange their wedding vows you could really see the connection between them both. However, there was one poignant detail that made the moment even more special. A portrait of Natalia's mother and father, who had both passed away, had been placed at the end of the aisle facing the couple as they said their vows. It was a beautiful and touching tribute to those who could not be there to celebrate with them, we loved seeing this.

After the ceremony, the wedding party moved to the beautiful lawns that stretched down to the shores of the lough, it was great to see everyone having an amazing time, with live music from @thecitymusicbelfast and lawn games by @kingsandqueenseventhire.

As the sun began to set, the party moved to the yurt-inspired marquee, which had been set up in the gardens overlooking the lough. The tent's unique design provided a bohemian and intimate vibe, perfect for continuing the celebration. We had an almighty party which continued through the evening with the absolutely incredible Annas Number, we even got a beaut pizza from the guys at Garlic & Thyme pizzas for on the way home - what an incredible day we had with Natalia and Finbar at the Old Court Wedding Company - one of the absolute best places we have had the pleasure of shooting a wedding.
